A few weeks ago I began designing some little Christmas stockings.  Before I post the patterns, I wanted to stitch them all and see that they turn out well, but also in order to write my tutorial for them.  Unfortunately, I won't be done all of the stockings in time for others to stitch them for this Christmas but this pattern will be coming soon.
I have designed some for 40 count, 48 count and 60 count fabrics so that they will be suitable for the most common silk gauzes used in miniature (at least the ones I can see to stitch, lol!).  There are many other higher counts but I will leave those to people who can see them well and design for them.
This little stocking will eventually grace the hearth of the Santa's Cottage I am currently building.  I am hoping to also finish one with a boy's name on it before Christmas but not sure as I have many home-made gifts I am working on as well.

Today, I finally finished putting my little chair together and here is the result.  It went together quite easily and I am very happy with the final result. The stripes line up very well despite the up and down distance each stripe travels.

The only area that I had a bit of trouble with was the inside curve of the arms of the chair.  I knew that I would have to cut the stitching to make it fit the curve and had stitched two small pieces to put under these cuts so that they wouldn't be so noticeable.  However, when I was done, I found them very noticeable.  I then came up with the idea of stitching two small sections in pattern and fit them into the indent left behind by the cuts in the fabric.  This worked out better and, while not perfect, look much better.
