A New Rug Added to our Shop

After a bit of a design hiatus, I am please to announce that I have finished a new design! This one is called Rose and is approximately 5 1/4" x 6 1/4" (13.34 cm x 15.88 cm) if stitched on 40 count silk gauze.  
I found inspiration for this rug in crochet filet and adapted it to become a rug.  My first designs had only one border but as I progressed, I found I liked the idea of multiple borders better.  As such, the rug became bigger as I didn't wish to change the middle portion of the design to make the finished rug fit a regular size that I usually design.
After deciding on my final design I played with the colors.  I saw a rug a friend of mine had stitched and loved the color palette she used.  

After contacting her, she generously sent me the list of the colors she used.  Hers was stitched in silk but I was able to convert the colors to DMC.  I added these colors to the rug and was thrilled with the result.  This pattern will be offered exclusively on this website and will not be listed in my Etsy shop.
