Making Progress

This past couple of weeks I have definitely been making progress on my Christmas chair.  I finished the inside arms and moved my canvas along to work on the outside arms.  The left one is finished and I am now almost to the level where I can begin decreasing the pattern to fit the top part of the right side.  The dark green row is the last full row.  The second side is being stitched as a mirror image of the first side.  It shouldn't take much longer now that the rows will be shorter.

Once the final side is done, I will work on the back, which is the last piece to do. 
​Along with working on the stitching for the chair, I have also been very busy photographing and uploading more products into our store.  To help me with this endeavour, I built a small photography box out of white foam core.  I found an adhesive LED strip that I could attach to the inside top of the box and cut a small rectangular hole in the top to allow my phone's camera to see through to the item.  The front is also open so that I can take a photo of something standing.  On the whole, it has worked well but the light was not white enough.  I added another light on top and this seems to have helped quite a bit.  I am currently taking new photos every day to add to the shop, so check back often as the inventory increases. At the moment I am adding dollhouse placemats.

In closing, I would like to leave you with a fun image I took back in August when my little grand daughter was coming for a visit.  To protect my Beachfront Mansion from little fingers I always bring out a dollhouse that I built many years ago for my own daughters and place it in front.  I had just put it in place and walked out of the room for a short while when I came back and found my cat had taken up residence in the house!
